IT’S THE BIG 80!
TODAY, Friday the 5th February 2021 is the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps.
Many Combined Cadet Force (RAF) sections were also established on the same day making it extra special.
Both organisations make up the RAF Air Cadets but due to the COVID pandemic, we are unable to celebrate our 80th birthday in the normal manner.
As the pandemic eases we will mark the anniversary by branding our amazing programme of events and activities.
We are also rolling out a digital campaign to raise our profile.
Watch out at noon today for a special message from the wonderful RAF aerobatic team The Red Arrows.
Please send us pictures of yourselves and your squadrons, sections, volunteer gliding schools and units to make sure we mark this significant date in history!
