St Clement Danes is the official Church of the Royal Air Force and is a sight to behold. The organisers of the event asked 2473 Squadron specifically to attend and perform a Guard of Honour for all members entering the church. As a squadron we jumped at the chance to visit this amazing venue for such a special event. 12 cadets attended the celebration and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, seeing officers and airmen from No. 7 Squadron now celebrating their centenary. They were even lucky enough to hear the trumpet fan fair performed by a member of The Central Band of the RAF. After the service, 2473 and 2524 squadron went on to the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park for the laying of the wreaths.
The cadets totally enjoyed their day and were even more ecstatic when they received a message from Air Commodore Dawn McCaffery!
@2524atc @2473squadron Proud of you all for giving up BH weekend time to show respect for others. Well done.
